Smoothie Bowl GOALS
Does your basic smoothie need an upgrade? Why not make a smoothie bowl!
Smoothies have received a makeover and are no longer just for drinking. They are placed into a bowl with yummy toppings.  Not only are they just as healthy and tasty, they are also aesthetically pleasing. These bowls can be made for breakfast, or even as a refreshing summer-time snack.
We put together some recipes that are smoothie bowl GOALS!
Blueberry Colada Smoothie Bowl

  • 1 cup blueberries- [frozen blueberries will help to firm up smoothie]
  • 1/2 cup dark red grape juice
  • 1 scoop Protein + Greek yogurt protein 
  • 1/2 cup nut milk
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp. rum extract (optional)
Mix items in blender, pour into a bowl. Garnish with berries, unsweetened coconut flakes or even kumquat for a burst of flavor.
Gingered Pineapple Smoothie Bowl

  • 1/2 cup frozen green grapes
  • 1/2 cup pineapple, chunks or crushed
  • 1/2 cup nut milk
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Protein + Yogurt, or vanilla whey or vegan protein
  • 1/8 cup crystallized ginger pieces
  • A few strands of lemon zest.
Place items into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl. Garnish with fresh berries and chia seed for an antioxidant boost and flavor contract to the lemon.

 

Chia Pudding Smoothie Bowl

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup pineapple, crushed
  • 1/2 small banana
  • 1/4 cup Protein + Yogurt, or vanilla whey or vegan protein
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
Mix & refrigerate overnight.
To serve: Spoon into a bowl and top with peaches, blueberries and shaved coconut slices.

 

Apple Avocado Cucumber Smoothie Bowl

  • 1/2 cup frozen green grapes
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • 1/4 cup chilled apple juice
  • 1/4 cup chilled green tea
  • 1/4 cup avocado, peeled
  • 1/4 cup seeded cucumber, peeled
  • 1/4 cup Protein + Matcha, or vanilla whey or vegan protein
Blend all items together, pour into a bowl. Garnish with Kiwi, blueberries, Walnuts and seeds to supercharge your breakfast.

 

Cantaloupe Berry Smoothie Bowl

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
  • 1/2 cup raspberries- [frozen to firm up smoothie bowl]
  • 1/4 cup cantaloupe
  • 1/4 cup blackberries -[frozen to firm up smoothie bowl]
  • 1/4 cup Protein + Greek Yogurt or Matcha, or vanilla protein powder- whey or vegan 
  • 1 tbsp. flax seed oil
  • 1/2 tbsp. agave nectar
Blend items together. Pour into a bowl Garnish with fresh blueberries and raspberries, a little chia seed, sunflower seed and granola.
