Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
What better way is there to start your day then with warm, fresh cinnamon sugar donuts?
Oh and what if I told you that they were healthy and packed with protein? And that you got to eat the entire batch?! That’s right! @ExerciseIsMedicine (AKA Morgan) made these donuts using only 3 ingredients (5 if you top them with cinnamon and stevia) and contain 29 grams of protein for the entire batch. The base of the donut mix is made with the new ABOUT TIME Cinnamon Spice Pancake Mix
These donuts are so simple to make! You are only 10 minutes away from fresh donut heaven!
Ingredients:
– 1/2 cup ABOUT TIME Cinnamon Spice Pancake Mix
– 2 egg whites
– 2 tbsp milk of choice (I used skim)
– Cinnamon and stevia for topping
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and spray your mini donut pan. In a bowl mix together the pancake mix, egg whites, and milk. Then fill the donut pan with the batter, making sure to only fill each one 2/3 of the way. Bake the donuts for 6-8 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Immediately remove from the pan and sprinkle the tops of each donut with cinnamon and stevia.
That’s it!
This recipe makes about 10 mini donuts in my petite donut pan. Not only are these donuts delicious, but the macronutrient breakdown is amazing too. My next move will be trying this recipe with the Chocolate Chip Pancake mix!
