warm quinoa breakfast cereal
2 cups unsweetened Almond Milk
1 cup water
1 cup organic quinoa red or white
2 cups fresh blackberries or blueberries
4 scoops About Time Cinnamon Whey Isolate
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts toasted
toast the nuts in a 350F degree toaster oven for 5 to 6 minutes or in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
you can drizzle your final product with 1 t honey or agave nectar if desired- this will add about 20 calories and 5 carbs per serving
Combine almond milk, water and quinoa in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until 2/3’s of the liquid is absorbed. Turn off heat; let stand covered 5 minutes. Stir in About Time whey isolate. Stir in fruit and cinnamon; transfer to four bowls and top with nuts. 4 servings
