When it comes to working out variety is key. It’s easy to get stuck in a fitness rut.
Working out is hard enough and when you’re bored too it is nearly impossible.
Here are some new ways to workout to get you over that exercise hump.
How is this to shake-up your workouts. It’s called kangoo jumps.
A low impact workout that has you jumping and bouncing in boots with springs underneath. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=kangoo+jumps&qpvt=kangoo+jumps&FORM=VDRE
The creator claims it’s easy on your joints and reduces your impact on the ground by 80-percent.
There aren’t any kangoo jumps classes around here but you buy the boots for about $250 bucks.
You don’t have to jump around to spice up your workouts. Zumba is latin inspired dance aerobics class that’s probably one of the hottest things to hit the gym since Jazzercise.
“If you like to dance,” said Marybeth. “If you like to move and you want to try something different, it is awesome. It has pulled people into the gym who were coming before. And it has also made people more regular in their exercise because it is actually so much fun.”
If you are looking for something more intense, how about the 4-minute workout or the Tabata workout. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=tabata+workout&qpvt=tabata+workout&FORM=VDRE
It was created by Dr. Izumi Tabata to train Japan’s olympic speed skating team.
It is ultra intense work for 20-seconds followed by 10 seconds of rest.
“It is very intense,” said Jennifer. “Your heart rate gets high. Much higher than when I’m running. So I am in a very high zone right now. It’s tough.”
If you don’t have a lot of time, the creator of the power of 10 workout says slow it down, way down, 10 counts up and 10 count down.
“I think it is definitely good for beginners starting out,” said Mark. “Someone who has the least amount of time. They have a very busy lifestyle. Everyone can fit in 20 to 25 minutes a week”
By lifting weights very slowly will maximize muscle fatigue, it also eliminates momentum forcing the muscle to do all the work.
The Karve workout is also gaining popularity, which has been coined the workout of the stars.
Women especially who don’t want to get bulky and want that long lean look have been turning to this workout which is big out in LA.
