I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh a semester early in December 2014 with a B.S in Rehabilitation Sciences to pursue my goals in CrossFit. In January 2015, I started working at CFNE as well as volunteering my time at Northeastern University with their Strength & Conditioning department. In the 2015 CrossFit season I qualified as an individual athlete to participate at the East Regional but turned it down to compete with CFNE’s team. At the East Regional we took third place and qualified for the 2015 CrossFit Games.
I’ve found that CrossFit and proper nutrition, can be more than just a way to stay physically healthy. It can also keep you mentally and emotionally healthy and bring balance to people’s lives. This expands beyond just professional and collegiate athletes. It applies to everyone. It teaches people to have a more holistic idea of health and more importantly life. My goal as an athlete and coach is to help people start seeing this idea and getting them to start living it. Even if I can only inspire or help a handful of people I still consider it a great success. I am beyond grateful and feel truly blessed to be living my dream.
